CONNECTICUT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | CONNECTICUT ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER | INTIMATE ELOPEMENT

Everett and Andrew’s art museum elopement at The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art was a quiet celebration of love, history, and meaning. They chose January 17th, 2025, not just as a date on the calendar, but as the anniversary of when they first met—bringing their journey full circle in a space that reflects their shared love of art.

The Wadsworth, nestled in the heart of Hartford, CT, offered a timeless and elegant backdrop that felt both intimate and grand. As plans for their elopement began to unfold, Everett and Andrew weren’t initially sure what the day would look like. Like many couples planning an elopement, they knew how they wanted the day to feel but weren’t sure how to bring it all together. That’s where I stepped in—to help guide them through the process and make sure every detail felt true to them.

From securing the necessary requirements to helping them select the perfect location, each step was personalized. A week before the big day, we did a walkthrough of the museum together—moving through galleries, selecting where they would exchange vows, and finding beautiful light-filled corners for their portraits.

On the day of their elopement, the museum’s quiet halls created a serene setting. Surrounded by timeless works of art and the echo of history, Everett and Andrew exchanged vows in one of the curated galleries, just the two of them—and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Art has a way of telling stories that last beyond time, and their wedding day became a piece of that narrative. Their art museum elopement was an expression of intentionality, creativity, and love.

It was an honor to be part of something so unique and heartfelt—and to witness a love story told in a way that was completely their own.
